International Masters in Regional Integration (IMRI)

Description

This International Masters programme in Regional Integration examines the origins and consequences (for nation states as well as firms and citizens) of efforts and strategies to redraw boundaries of authority at the regional level in the context of intensified globalization. Using an interdisciplinary and comparative approach, the programme focuses on explanations of the intensity and type of authority shift to regional institutions across issues and across regions. It places particular emphasis on understanding the relationship between regional integration and processes of economic globalization, the development of new forms of governance, and the reconfiguration of the state.

  • Arrived at an informed understanding of how regional integration and globalization are conceptualized and theorized.
  • Interpreted current processes associated with regional integration, including national development, economic interdependence, and globalization, the emergence of new forms of governance, the structural context in which these take place and their political, economic, legal, and social consequences.
